Any one have any tips to keep my wood floor shiny?
Just wondering if anyone has any tips to keeping my wood floor shiny ,I just use disinfectant ,any home remedies i have herd of vinegar ? Anything else ?
wouldnt it take forever to do ? My wood floors are in every room in the house
Yea i dont have alot of time im pregnant with twins and find it very hard to get on my hands and knees ,everything is a effort atm but i will try some products with orange in my mother was saying something about orange oil and stuff but my floors are nice but do have marks but not noticeable wood floor are great i love them i have a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old so they are not going to stay perfect ,But thankx everyone you have given me some great ideas to look into
Mop and glow, or similar products that clean and finish the floors in one step. I preclean my floors then I apply the mop and glow with a rag and hot water. I like doing it on my hands and knees because I can make sure that i am applying it evenly. Orange glow makes an entire hardwood floor kit though that works well with applicators that you can use like a mop.
It takes me about 2 hours to do all of my floors and move all my crap around. In the winter it takes longer. Crank up the heat so the finish dries faster. You have to close off the rooms to traffic while it is drying.

How many different colors of floor tile should be used in one house?
I have a 1600 sq. ft house, with one color in the family room, one color in the living room, and one color in each of the two bathrooms. Is there a limit to how many different shades of floor tile will look okay? We are thinking of tiling our entranceway and hallway, but we don't know if we should use a different color, or the same color as the living room. Please help with suggestions.
well it all depends. like for example, if you have a light brown sandy tile in one room an a darker brown sandy tile in another room then that would be fine..the colors would go great together. but if you have a light brownish tile and a blackish tile then thats a big no. you just have to make sure that your tile matches..it doesnt necessarily have to be the same color..just as long as its in the same catagorie. you alson dont want two colors that are alomst exactly the same side by side..that will look tacky. i hope i helped you out.
