Is it true that Don Revie finished his life in a wheelchair?
I hear that he had motor neurone disease. And then he finished the last year of his life in a wheelchair. Is this true and did he ever go out in this condition? I think its extremely sad how such a great manager finished up with the disease he had.
By the way, what is motor neurone disease and how is it caused?

He was out in public a lot in his wheelchair before his condition got really bad. He was in his wheelchair in the "Leeds United the Glory Years" video., if I remember correctly.

MND reduces muscle function. It is usually fatal but not in every case. The causes of it is not yet well understood.

There is a belief that footballers suffer more than their fair share of MND. A number of high profile players have suffered from it, but there have also been a lot of football players, so I am yet to be convinced.

Can I still be an Occupational Therapist?
I have Cerebral Palsy and I have trouble with fine motor skills. I have seen the difference that OT can make in someones life and I would love to be an OT but between the fine motor skill troubles and being in a wheelchair, is it possible for me to be an OT? Also does anybody know of any schools that offer degrees in Rehabilitation Technology, preferably online?

I have a friend who is an OT and has Cerebral Palsy. She can walk, but her gait is extremely jerky and her balance is faulty. Her fine motor skills are only fair. On the plus side, her upper body strength is above average. She does not use a wheelchair at work or home, but when we go anywhere that requires a great deal of walking (Disneyland comes to mind), she obtains a wheelchair so she can keep up. I don't know where she went to school, but I do know she has been working in her field for over 20 years. She works with preschool children with multiple disabilities.
