Mobility Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles
Where can I find a personal driver who can drive a handicapped vehicle?
I'm in a wheelchair, and I'm looking for someone or a service that I can hire to drive me to school a few times a week in Minnesota starting in August. I also have a nurse that needs to travel with me. I've tried Metro Mobility, but they're not very reliable when it comes to being on time, and also, I have a dog phobia, and sometimes people bring service dogs on the bus. I'm just looking for someone who has a wheelchair accessible vehicle who could bring me and my nurse to school so I can get there safely and on time.
Try contacting your local center for independent living. They're an excellent starting point when you're looking for any kind of services for people with disabilities.
