my grandad is getting a new mobility scooter delivered in 3 weeks time so needs a ramp fitted to his bungalow. who do i need to contact about this?

social services disability team - they will organise an assessment to see if he actually requires a ramp to meet his needs. if so they will oragnise the fitting of a ramp at no cost to him as a adaptation below the threhold of £5,000

Mobility scooters?
I've recently purchased a mobility scooter.Following a fall & broken bone in my foot. So being housebound for some time is NOT something I could get used to.
I use it for shopping, but better still can take the dog for a walk with it - great fun. (I now realise how awful the footpaths are & lack of ramps where I need them.).
Now my only worry is if I get stuck while out or scooter stops & refuses to go further, WHO & WHERE can I get help from ?
Hopefully it won't happen, but machines do go wrong when you least expect it & I want to be prepared.
Dont tell me to put battery on charge !
I never go out unless it is first fully charged !
