What do you think of this disabled person?
The other week i was in my local Barclay's, i was sat in the waiting area when suddenly something hit the door. i looked around and saw a person on a mobility scooter had bumped into the door frame on her way in.
She continued driving in and stopped near to the disabled counter.
She then leaned around and put her things in the basket on the back and then unwrapped the blanket from around her legs, then unzipped then rain cover that was around her legs and the hopped of the scooter!!
She walked fairly quickly over to the customer service desk asked something and then walked past the queue and up to one of the cashier's, pushing right past the queue of about 6 people who where waiting to be served.
Even the cashier's realised and looked shocked but didn't say anything!
As she was leaving she hit the doorway again.
I was in disbelief, she couldn't drive but she could certainly walk without a problem!
This gives genuinely disabled people a bad name to be honest!
Same thing happened to me on the bus. I was waiting for the bus and a woman came in a wheelchair. I let her go first for common courtesy. Then she clearly got up, packed up her wheelchair and went in and sat on the bus. That was dreadful. It really does give a bad name to disabled people who are actually disabled.
