Do I qualify for the Presidential Scholarship at Loyola Chicago?

I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 30 on my ACT. I'm involved in a few clubs and have done cross country for the last 4 years.

What kind of scholarship do you think I qualify for?

If you can, post your stats and what kind of merit money you got from Loyola if you're an alumni.

you'll be close. I think they only give out 3 or 4 a year. You'll need to interview and show how you'll be a valuable asset to Loyola. I should let you know that I've met a few people who scored a 35 on the ACT and one girl who scored a 36. I don't know if they got the presidential scholarship, but you should know that you'll have stiff competition.

What GPA would you need to get into a good college?

I am interested in attending SMU or Washington U. in St. Louis.

I have always been a 4.0 student but had a tough 9 weeks and may have come out with 2-3 b's for my second semester in 10th grade.

There is a very little chance of me pulling these grades up. One of my classes is weighted, so I get a 4 point for a B. So, I'm assuming I'll have 1-2 B's for this 9 weeks. With a PSAT merit and a 32-34 ACT score, is it possible to get into these colleges?

(I have also ran track since 8th grade and cross country since 9th. I plan to continue these sports through high school and if possible, into college. I have a small amount of community service and I am hoping to get more involved this summer. I plan to take 3 AP course next 9 year. I also plan to join junior class council next year.)

I must say that most of the time grades are only a small part of what colleges look at. The activities you do have a major impact. Also write a good essay, which always helps sway the admissions office. Don't get too stressed over your grades. Keep working hard and try to keep them up but work at being a well-rounded person. Best of luck
