Leg Rest Pillow
Do elevated leg rest pillows help w/leg circulation? Are they worth the money?
I've been thinking about getting one of those leg rest pillows, and they cost from $40 to $90. I'm young (early 20's), and I already have a couple of both varicose and spider veins (it runs in the family), and my legs ache a lot. I'm not overweight, and I don't stand for long periods of time. I've tried sleeping with just regular pillows under my feet/legs, but it's uncomfortable and my feet fall off. Should I get on of those leg rests? Does anyone use one and it's helping? If you do, is it worth it, and any recommendations on the brand and type? Anything else I can do to prevent leg pain/veins (not treat)?
You can roll towels up & put masking tape on them & use them on either side of regular bed pillows to keep your legs from falling off. Or try putting blocks under the foot of the bad to raise it up a few inches.

Do you allow you kids to put their feet on the arm rest of the couch?
Always wondered about this. I am not a clean freak.....well sorta. That is another story. Anyways, I sometimes tell the kids not to lay on the couch and put their feet on the sofa arm rest. I put my arms there. Am I being picky? I think of it like this. If I were go running and sweat a lot and smell of body odor can I got sit and put my feet on your pillow? I might feel a little better if there feet were past the arm rest and it was their legs on the arm rest but rubbing their feet on the arm rest to get cozy is a little to much for me. I do have better things to do and I don't watch for it always but i do notice this practice sometimes. How do you feel about it?
I am a neat freak but never really thought about this. Thanks a lot for giving me something else to worry about though LOL...just kidding
seriously though, have you thought about buying those couch arm covers? If you can't find one in the store or online then you or someone you know could sew one up that matches your couch. It would dress up your couch and serve as a cover for those dirty stinky feet. Then when you sit down you can remove the cover and it could also be washed regularly.
