is it possible for a kid or child to be gay?
my cousin, sister, brother, and i are debating about gay marriage. do you think that people are born gay? what do you think?
I think people are born gay. When I was a little girl around 3 years old, I wanted to be a boy. My daddy teased me a lot and told me stories about when he was a little girl. My brothers told me if I could kiss the bottom of my elbow, right on the tip of the bone, I would turn into a boy. I almost broke my arm trying.
I think I was about 7 when I realized I would never be a boy and when I hit puberty and grew breasts, I hated them. I was nearly 25 years old before I adjusted to seeing myself in the mirror because I always thought I should be a guy. If I didn't look in a mirror, I forgot about gender all together.
I'm not really gay as it isn't socially acceptable and I've adjusted to the skin I'm in but I'm unmarried and don't have any kids. I'm not very happy actually and don't think having a girlfriend would help any. Sleeping with a woman disgusts me but I do wish I was a man even to this day.
Just from personal feelings about my own gender, I will say that I think people are born with a mental idea of which gender they should be inspite of the gender they are born with. (I'm so grateful that I live in an age where women don't have to wear dresses. I would really be miserable if I had to wear women's clothes! I look like a woman, I just don't feel like one.)
EDIT: I've been pondering this a little more. I really think that people that think environment frames the gay mentality are those who have dreamed of being the opposite gender and found the dream frightening and disconcerting. I think everyone is a little gay and are terrified of their sense of life purpose if they should lose their sexual identity.
I know most men dream of nursing babies and most women dream of having a penis. A lot of men, real men included, dream of having babies and the dream is so terrifying to them they immediately go on a rampage to disprove this "abnormality". People who are afraid of losing their identity are afraid of gay rights. They need to evolve already.

Actually, I don't consider a kid and a child to be the same thing at all. A child is younger than a kid - to me, a child is 0 - 12 and a kid is 13 - 15 (and to 16 in certain people.) I believe that it's a hard call to make to decide when someone is an adult but I think 16+ depending on the person.
I'd say big kid for me. Im not near being an adult; i'm too immature. But im not a child, although at times I can be childish.
