I live in FL. Wondering if anyone knows if you can put someone in a nursing home against their will?
The person has MS and is not able to take care of herself anymore. Gotten to the point that she is in a wheelchair and doesn't even get out of it to sleep. Refuses to get catheter, and the spouse has to work nonstop to pay medical bills, is the only one that can lift her; therefore, the only one that can change diapers. Afraid the spouse will get into trouble due to the unwillingness on the patients part to get proper treatment. Absolutely refuses. Any suggestions?
Contact Social Services for assistance. That's what we had to do to get my great-Aunt into a nursing home (once her mental issue stabilized, we moved her to assisted living which was perfect for her). That is what my Mom's coworker had to do for her 42 year old son (autistic). Her health is uncertain and she simply can't care for him any longer. Social services can evaluate the situation and if necessary, can present the court with the information needed to force them into a care situation OR come up with a suitable alternative (home health help, for instance).
My grandmother was a paraplegic from the time I was 5 years old and had a catheter for more than 25 years (before she passed away from heart problems). This woman perhaps does not understand how much easier she would make it for her husband because of fear. My grandmother had ONE infection in all those years.

Why are my hips hurting so bad?
I am 17 weeks pregnant with my second child. I am suffering from severe hip pain (where my pelvis and femur meet) it is primarily on the right side but sometimes my hip will give out and I nearly fall every time. Its worse and more prominent when laying down and trying to roll and when I walk for a long period of time then sit down. I had a small amount of hip pain with my first child but it only hurt if I stood for a long time then it went away. After I gave birth my hip pain became much more intense, I worked at a nursing home, lifting, pulling, and rolling patients i also did a lot of bending and walking but by the end of my 8hr shift i could barely walk with out stumbling around cuase it was hurting so bad. Does anyone know what may be going on?
the baby may be resting on your blatter and pinching a nerve that causes the pain. I would recomend seeing a doctor asap becuz it might be affecting the baby.
