Hitch Carrier Rack How can I get new holes drilled into my bike rack?
I have a Thule Parkway 4-bike hitch mount carrier (Model 956) that I bought on Amazon. My problem is that the receiver holes are about 2 inches too far from the assembly and are a tad too small for 1/2" hitch pins. It works fine now, I just feel that the rack would be more sturdy if it can go farther into the receiver , and I would also like to use my 1/2" hitch lock rather than needed to bring out a socket wrench to put it on and take it off. The pre-drilled holes fit an M12 receiver bolt.
Basically, I want to know how to find somewhere that can drill new 1/2" holes into my bike rack assembly. What should I look up in the phone book? Can they do this at Hardware stores? I have a very basic drill which cannot fit a 1/2" bit, so doing it myself is out of the question. I am in Philadelphia PA if it helps.

You can get a 1/2" drill bit with a reduced shaft that will fit in a 3/8" drill. So, yes you can do this yourself.

How can I transport my Moped with my car?
I'm trying to do this without spending lots of money. I have a 98 honda civic.
The obvious (and expensive) answers are to get a hitch mount installed (like $150 or more) and buy a real motorcycle carrier thing (probably like $150 or more, I don't know) OR get the hitch mount and a trailer (probably like $300 or $400).
My idea is to get a roof-mount bike rack, and just strap it down like a normal bike. I figure that a back mount bike rack wouldn't be strong enough to hold the weight. Do you think that would work?
Has anyone done this or have any good ideas? Thanks so much!
