Modifications to Smith n Wesson Model 645?
Hi Everyone:
Hope you can help me here. I picked up a pretty nice Smith-n-Wesson Model 645, 45 cal, at a Dallas Gun Show. It required some heavy duty cleaning but it looks great now, and I put some new rubber grips, some Pachmayr Grips, and it looks great. In addition, I removed the annoying magazine safety mechanism as well. It had come with an existing trigger job also.
My question is whether to replace the factory fixed sights with aftermarket LPA sights with have adjustable windage and elevation sights. I hate to pour more money into the gun and I want to keep it as factory original as possible besides of the changes already made.
My thoughts are to leave the sights as they are. It is accurate enough as is.
Any thoughts, please let me know. Thanks. John
If you are comfortable with the factory sights just keep them. No point in wasting money.

You could try to contact the manufacturer either through their details on the original packaging, or contact them through Argos customer service and buy a new one direct from them. Or failing that, you'll need to buy some new material - here is some on ebay http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=waterproof+fabric) and use the old cover as a pattern to make a new one.
