How do handicapped people use the restroom?
This is a serious question and i mean it literally. How do handicapped (wheelchairs) people use the restroom? Do they have people that help them get onto the toilet or what?
they use the bars to situate themselves properly....
The Importance of a Grab Bar in a Handicap Bathroom
Imagine yourself without the use of your legs or lower body. Think about the performing the simplest tasks and how much harder they would be. Using the bathroom would be near the top of this list. This is why having a grab bar in a handicap restroom is so important.
A grab bar provides a handicap person with a point of leverage from which they can assist themselves on and off of the toilet. Upper body strength takes over the responsibilities that we take for granted in our lower bodies. With a grab bar, the job is still tedious, but far easier than without a grab bar.
If you have a restroom that provides handicap access, having a grab bar is the most basic of needs. Be sure to provide at least one grab bar, depending on the design of your restroom, for your handicap guests. Just go back and imagine yourself in the same position if you ever wonder why again.

Voice typing computer program for the handicap?
I have an older brother who's handicapped, and confined in a wheelchair. He wants to be able to type out words in the Microsoft Word program primarily through his voice as well as to be able to open, operate, and close all of his other computer programs through his voice. What type of computer software would I have to buy for him? And what's the best brand for this type of computer software?

On XP: Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9
It was a little fustrating to use, and the text doesn't pump out immediately. The training seems to take forever, as you have to train it alot.
On Vista: The built in Voice recognition (from Ease of Access) It was ok, but I'd recommend a clean mike, because the computer has a little difficulty hearing your voice. However there is a guide for beginners and that was easy to use, because there are features that let you spell out letters by saying "A as in apple, C as in capital, I as in internet"
