why do some people think the vehicle matters?
I went shopping and I parked in the handicapped spot (I used my placard) and I was in my pick-up truck and this lady actually complained to me that "if you can get in that truck you aren't handicapped" so all I did was set my wheelchair on the ground and with my arms I lowered myself in it and she shut up real quick. but why do some people actually think the type of vehicle matters? I can get in and out of all different types of vehicles with no problem.
Miss Curious: I actually personally think it is easier to get in and out of a higher vehicle because I can just lower myself into the chair and then just lift myself up to get in but for a lower car I have to climb up and out into the chair and slide down sideways to get back in and reach up to the chair to try to colaspe it to put it in.
People are narrow minded and stupid and typically most often only think of themselves and their own opinions.
Better yet that you showed this woman what a tool she was (and is) without having to say anything -I hope you made her feel really stupid by doing your normal everyday thing.
