Alabama forces vegetarian students to take a Hunter Safety class?
My daughter is a vegetarian. She eats eggs and drinks milk, but does not wear leather or sheepskin or other animal clothing. She does not believe that it is right for humans to kill animals for pleasure, food, or clothing. So - she is in 8th grade at a school in Alabama and as part of the curriculum, she is being required to take a class called "Ag Science / Hunter Safety". Today they watched a movie that showed hunters killing deer. The principal says this class is requried of all 8th graders, they have no other class for her to take, and she can participate or fail. Help!!!
I think that if it is part of the curriculum, there is nothing that can be done to prevent your daughter from having to take this class. However, I would fight to take it out of the curriculum. That class is the result of (sorry if I offend you) gun-nuts who need to assert their support for the second amendment with a vengeance. Where I live, hunter safety courses are only mandatory if you wish to hunt, and not part of the public school curriculum. That is the way it should be everywhere.

I would buy the medium height. I have them and I love them!! I found mine at shi by journeys for 129.99, which is a pretty good deal.
When you do get your Uggs, make sure you get a spray for them so they don't get stained. You don't have to buy the Ugg protector, just a water stain spray.
Buy Uggs, dont' get the cheapies. Get the sheepskin lining. They are made to be worn without socks, because the sheepskin keeps your feet at normal temp and they won't get stinky! The cheapies will be bad...trust me. I bought some knock offs and they are nothing compared to the real thing. They are worth the price!
