Freedom Lift Wheelchair
I have some what of a moral crisis really, what would you do?
I am wheelchair bound. I can drive, but i MUST have a van with a lift installed on it. I have been using a small local guy for over 12 years. hes awesome, and has given me my freedom! now my problem. my current vehicle is on its last leg, literally breaks down all the time. i need a whole new one. the problem is my guy only deals with traditional full size vans which are not really being solid in todays economy. so in order to use him id have to find a used vehicle for him to install his lifts. the other option i have is to go to another group which has been trying to bully my guy out of business for years. but they have the newer equipment meant for the new vans. do i go old school again and stick with my guy who i owe my freedom, or do i move on?
There are vehicles these days that are equipt for wheel chair users. I think it would be in your best interest to purchase a vehicle that is going to benefit you, and work for you.
You can't buy a vehicle to suit this guy that has helped you over the years because in the end you'll suffer for it.

Personal fave is when Jack Burton rolls backwards in his wheelchair down a steep ramp heading toward a well, only to get stuck at the last second, then slowly and carefully lifting his way to freedom.
