Frame Wheelchair Who thinks Cheney is in worse shape than we were led to believe?
He sprained his back moving his things out? Does anyone really think he picked up anything heavier than a small picture frame? Or are we to believe he was lifting desks, chairs, file cabinets and loading them on a u-haul? In a wheelchair for a back sprain? Or is that normal protocol when you get old? I think there is something else really wrong with him. Maybe that's why he's been MIA for so long?
The moving boxes story is probably a cover. Cheney seems really ILL lately and I'm sure he can't or doesn't want to be seen as being weak or in bad shape.

Should I have Disabled access in my council home front & back for my disabiled son ?..?
I am living in a council house with my son who is disabled, can't walk with out his walking frame or wheelchair, the council have lowered the front door for him but said they wont do the back so he can only use the front door ! they said they will only do one door ! is this right ? what if there was a fire ? what about him getting in to the garden ? with out walking all the way round ? any info please ,, thank you
If your home is a council property the council should make it easily accessible for your son if he has difficulty walking. There are a number of people who you can get to help you with this. The best thing to do would be to ask for an assessment of his needs and if you are his carer you can ask for a carers assessment. Both of these can be carried out by your GP, social worker or any one else in authority who knows you or your son fairly well. If the outcome of either of these assessments is that your sons needs are not being met by him not having safe access in and out of your home then the council will have to do adaptations. The adaptations could take years as there is a long waiting list and most councils are on very tight budgets at the moment. I wish you good luck.
