About a yeat ago my clock went out. I now notice when I engage 4-wheel drive the light does not come on. Are they on the same circuit. Also I notice when I put my truck in 4-wheel drive and drive on dry pavement it no longer bucks when I go around tight corners. Any ideas? When I put it in low four the transmission gears down and moves slow as usual. Is it possible that the power is just going to the rear wheel? I appreciate your feedback.

Take your Toy and poke at a hill on the gravel, sit at the bottom, put it first and then , while revving the engine dump the clutch. You don't need to travel any distance, you just need a resistance and a slippery surface under all the wheels. If you get wheel spin front and back, probably on opposing wheels, but not necessarily, you still have four wheel drive and there is a blown globe or fuse.

Regular 4 wheel drive is usually a system that stays in 2 wheel until you manually put it in 4 wheel drive. All wheel drive is usually just four wheel drive but on a car and is accomplished using a slightly less complicated system. "Realtime" 4 wheel drive is used by Hondas mostly and involves a system that detects excess slippage by the drive wheels and automatically engages 4 wheel drive.
