Cramping in the upper leg and foot?
Constant mild cramps in my left side. Not pain, just discomfort. Upper thigh, mid calf and foot. Sometimes feels hot. 57 year old female. On lipitor for cholesterol. Exercise regularly. Good diet. What could be the reason for this discomfort?
I am talking calcium daily as well.
Most likely caused by a lack of minerals. Magnesium, potassium, and calcium. The drugs you are taking could be depleting the minerals and the calcium you are taking may not be absorbing into your body (most kinds the body can't absorb correctly) and calcium without natural vitamin D (the sun) is worthless. You may need to increase your mineral intake, best done using natural sources. Check out a good health food store for direction. Drinking any kind of soda depletes your body of minerals and could be the cause. Carbonation leaches vitamins from the bones.

It sounds like the same thing I have. I have had, and still do have those pains. You might have a herniated disk or bulging disk. Or even stenosis or even deterioration of the spine. I don't want you to get worried. You ask and all I can say is this sound like me..
I would like to keep up with you. email me. take it EASY don't fall, or get hit in anyway, don't do any lifting heavy things or do much bending. Take a lot of HOT BATHS if not heat then Ice packs.. No fender benders either, until you know for sure what this is.
Your spine has problems I am almost sure. I am no Dr. but I do have those same symptoms.

I slid down 13 stairs (2005) and was unconscious when I woke up and in a lot of pain. Dr. at the E.R. didn't run any test just sent me home with pain meds and said I was banged up and would have to stay in bed for 6-8 weeks. I put up with the pain for 2 years until I couldn't anymore. I can handle pain until it handles me. I never got better just worse and ate over the counter meds like crazy until I had a hole in my stomach. T
hen I finally went to Dr. and He was a jerk too. I don't see him anymore and he has a law suit on him now. But anyway. He didn't want to run a MRI and I insisted (we got into it big time) and he finally did. He said he was glad I insisted cause I had very severe canal stenosis and then more… But never said he was sorry about the argument we had… I was in a lot of PAIN!!!! So my new journey began in Jan/2007 and it took 1 year for me to get disability…

It is a hard road to travel but by the grace of God I am making it. If you do have big time problems you will need friends, real friends as all mine ran out on me, even my family except my twin brother he is paralyzed. He was in a deer stand and stood up to get a deer and passed out. fell 20 feet unconscious. He was a mess. Lots of surgery's….So all you deer hunters out there reading this DON"T STAND UP TO FAST…you know how it feels when you see THAT DEER!
My family and friends couldn't deal with it…but I do have a family at church, and my twin brother. Wish he would move in.
