Folding Automobile how many categories of proteins (solid or liquid) roughly are contained inside a cell?
The cell is as complicated as a big automobile factory or air craft factory with hundreds of work benches. Many proteins are secreted from the folds of the tiny parts to speed up the most complicated biological chemical reactions inside cell. Some solid proteins build the microscopic sac-like things which contain endless folds. The folds create a large work-area for the biological reaction. This much I gathered as a physics graduate from my general reading. I only wished to know some more interesting facts about these tiny microscopic" air craft factories".
"solid" or "liquid" are not categories you should speak in. maybe "soluble" and "localized" (e.g. localized to the membrane structures).
Well, you'll have to read on mitochondria or the endoplasmic reticulum in more detail. Check out Alberts' "cell" on pubmed books!
I have a 10 person poker table and need to come up with a clever solution to store it (it's not foldable, but has fold-able legs). I once saw a guy with a "rack" built into the bed of his truck that had like three tables stored vertical (kinda like the trucks that carry automobile windshields). Does anyone know how to build a rack like this, or what materials would work best to store them vertically in my garage?
Why aren't people suggesting solutions to the question i asked instead of offering silly suggestions that really don't come close to what I'm solving for? Bones on the floor? Fold the legs and shove it against a wall? Come on guys!
Go to your local hardware store and describe what you're trying to do. Most places are happy to help you solve these problems because they know that will mean you will buy some materials. Most of the time they know what they're talking about, too!
