Has anyone ever had luck with job placement through a trade school in the Medical Billing and Coding Field?
I was going to school at Everest University in Jacksonville and have transferred to Houston. The Jacksonville campus wants $2,500 before they release my records to the Houston school and I am now wondering if it is even worth me completing my certification when all employers in the field want 2-5 years experience.
That sounds like an outrageous and astronomical amount of money just to transfer records! Even getting one's transcripts sent from one school to a different school doesn't usually cost nearly that much money. Regarding job placement, unfortunately, just about all schools, namely those private expensive for-profit ones, say that they provide assistance but they don't usually have many more leads than the sunday classifieds or a job site.

If still wanting to get training, please consider the more affordable county vo-tech school or community college as long as the program is accredited within the industry.

What is the best career field to get into?
I'm plan to attend Everest Institute in the very near future but I'm not sure what program I want to get into.
My options are: Business Accounting, Massage Therapy, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Assisting, and Pharmacy Technician.
At the end of my training, which degree will get me a job faster and/or pay the most.
If it matters, I live in Michigan. The job market isn't that great.
FYI: I'm not very good at math but accounting sounds like something I would enjoy. The giving shots part of medical assisting kind of scares me. I'm good with computers. [:

supposivly the institute helps you find the job but accountants are needed everywhere but the other jobs are also in need of an infinant amount of workers i would set up an appointment with them to give you a tour of ther programs because if you dont like it might not be worth it or maybe there website will tell you some detailed info on the programs
