Chinese shopping centre offers extra wide car spaces for women drivers. Offensive or practical?
I had to have a bit of a laugh when I saw this in a Zoo magazine (especially because I use the GWS Answers section).
So ladies, what do you think of this idea?

LOL. Even top notch feminist Minister Harriet Harman has the same weakness!
Women usually have much lower Visual-Spatial IQ than men. If you notice closely on your wife/ sister/ aunt/ mother driving habit, you'll notice they have very poor sense of directions & have trouble reading maps.
There are some women (usually in Engineering/ Math careers) that have way higher Visual-Spatial IQ than average men. No doubt about that. BUT I emphasis it is exceptions rather than the rule.

Can a laptop have an extra wide screen that folds out? Is it possible to make a custom one?
The do make them with fold-out keyboards, so the fold-out screen is only a matter of time.
Technically it would probably be two separate screens, with only a thin join. Windows from Xp upwards can spread the display across two monitors so this is feasible.
It would cost more, and not be too useful say, sitting on a train. But fine for desktop use.
If you want to make one, it needs a video card that will handle two monitors, and you'd lift the hinges to fit in the extra thickness. Good luck!
