how does an automatic sliding glass entrance/door work tecnically?
i wanna find out more on how does this things work?in terms of the motors, sensors and operation..ive already checked thru the web but i cant find any information..help me out here
1) motion sensor detects your presence
2) motion sensor sends signal to door motor
3) door motor operates until door is open (sensed by second sensor)
4) door held open until sensor 1 no longer detects your presence
5) lack of signal from sensor on causes door motor to operate until sensor 3 detects door closed
This can also be achieved using only 2 sensors but the description is harder

I am currently considering to install a door camera and speakerphone system at my home entrance for the price of $250. Is this a good idea? Is installation complicated? Will this be effective?

Can you ever really be too secure these days? Some people are being robbed while sitting in their own homes watching their tellies. It's true it happened in our village. The crooks went upstairs and stole all of the jewels and whatever else they could carry out quietly. You put a price on your safety or the safety of loved ones. I'd do all doors if I were you.
