Electric Wheelchair Mobility Need help... duno what to do!!
I am in a Wheelchair because i have...
1. Hyper mobility
2.Chronic Idiopathic Pain Syndrome
3. All my joints Sublux
4. Short term memory loss
and i used to cut myself, to try and cope with the pain, and loss of friends, and i knew that was stupid but i have now stopped that, and had help.
Now i don't eat anything, and if i do eat, i make myself sick after wards when no one was looking.
I'm lying to my parents about eating, i hide food,
but its all automatic now, i don't even realize I'm doing it anymore.
I'm not sure i want to go to the doctors because they will just say..'oh she's just doing it for the attention'.. and i'm really not... why would i do that, people allready stare at me enough in my electric wheelchair.. so please do not label it as that.

Go see a doctor about this, it isn't healthy AT ALL. If you carry on this way you could end up dead.
You need to see a proffesional about it, your doctor should not say you are just doing it for attention as he/she has vowed to help people not ridicule them and anything you tell them is in strict privacy.
But my advice would be to see a doctor immediatly as this could eventually end up killing you.
Hopefully your doctor can forward you to councilling or a special clinic.

Does anyone have any advice for ASD carer/Mum struggling to get help with authorities in Norfolk? UK?
Hi I am struggling to get help for my disabled son (registered at highest rate for care and mobility) but GP refuses to talk to me because he is now 17 despite letters of authority. He needs medical referral to support his joints but Im being mucked around by NHS and Soc serv (we do not have a social worker) and there seem to be no charities in this area that can help. My son needs an electric wheelchair and suffers daily joint dislocations (he has a condition called DAMP - includes severe dyspraxia and ASD) and very vulnerable to falls which leave him hospitalised. Ive tried Nat autistic society, Asperger's Norfolk and various carers groups but noone can help. Variety Club refused wheelchair funding as it is too specialised, am applying to Whizzkids but need help now. Any advice? Nessie (Are there any advocacy groups in Norfolk? I really need help!)
