What woud be causing my moped to cut out and miss?
I have a 2008 Kinroad Moped with a QMB139 engine. When I take off from a dead stop when the engine is cold it is fine, but when the engine warms up it will cut out and miss when you take off. I dont understand why its doing this. I bought a new carb because I was having float problems with my old one. And the scooter done the same thing with the old carburetor on it, so I know that the carb isnt the problem. I have also checked the coil, it was replaced 4 months ago, still checks out fine. I have replaced the spark plug and its gapped right. I have also replaced the air filter with a new one. And I have also checked the valve clearance. I havent done any modifications to the bike, so everything is stock I just cant figure out why It cuts out after it warms up. I've even tried unplugging the electric choke, but it still cuts out when it warms up.
Unplugging the choke disables it from warming up so in other words it will always be choked even after the bike has warmed up and the bike will run too rich a fuel/air mixture. It's very possible the choke is bad which is why you didn't notice a difference after you disconnected it. If you have been running rich the sparkplug may show up as black and you may see a hint of black smoke from the exhaust pipe after the bike has warmed up. I suggest you test the choke by removing it, applying 12 volts, and insuring that the plunger extends about 3/8" within about 3 to 5 minutes. Also make sure you have voltage going to choke. It should be about 12 to 14 volts AC while the bike is running. If there's no voltage check for a resistor that some bikes have in series with the choke as it may be burnt out.

Electric scooter questions.?
One of my friends just sold me an electric scooter really cheap because he wanted to get rid of it.
it is a razor e100,
right now it goes about 12 mph or so.
He and someone else told me that there is a switch you can flip inside the motor that will make it go in excess of 20mph.
im assuming it is some kind of governor or something along that line.
does anyone know if this is true, and if so where it is located?
if not, does anyone know any ways to make it go faster, because i would like to go to work on it(1mile or so), without taking 10 minutes.
please no: "lose weight" i weigh 115 or go downhill or anything like that, i'm talking legit engine modifications that can be done free/cheap.

dont think so , if there was a switch, people would know about it and use it. you could increase the voltage for more speed but mite burn motor up, i had a 12volt model that sukked ,isacrificed foot roon for a 12 volt deep cycle and it would maintain top speed longer and go a LOT further w/out charging. its a balance speed vs distance w/longevity and maintence thrown in somewhere. most folk dont use good battery etiquite and rape their batts, try new batts or bigger batts or get the e300 , good luck, stay green!!!
