I WISH I HAD AN EASY JOB!!!!!!!-I OVERWORK/SWEAT/GET THE WORK DONE & STILL GET YELLED AT TO DO OTHER CO-WORKERS JOBS THEY FORGET!!!!!!-AS I WAS LEAVING THE SUPERVISOR BLEW UP ON ME CAUSE I FORGOT TO PUT AWAY A BROOM & DUSTPAN!!!!!!!!
I'm a private teacher for a home-schooled high school student, an avian vet tech on Saturdays, and mobile bird groomer in between. It's a lot of work, but I get by, and I never get yelled at, which is soooo nice. The kind of crap your describing is, unfortunately the norm, rather than the exception.

Whats the best way to clean my floors?
I have a dog and a baby and laminate floor. The dog hair settles on the floor and i end up going round on my hands a knees with the dustpan and brush then again on my hands a knees with a cloth to clean it. This is killing me so i bough a mop from Vileda which claimed to pick up dust and hair and it was awful. Its just pushed the hair around and when used wet made a horrible mess.
does anyone no of something out there to make my job easier?
I use a rechargeable vacuum cleaner (Electrolux boss) there are now lots on the market
you could also try the G tech .
Instead of getting mop or floor wet, use a spray bottle and lightly spray before sweeping this will stop the hairs blowing round the room.
There is no simple solution unfortunately, however at least you can see the dust etc on laminate floor and is more hygienic than carpet
