Why has there not been a good solution found for the disposal of medical waste?
and why haven't the producers of durable medical equipment come up with a solution so that syringes won't wash up on beaches and catheter drainage bags be found in land fills in the next Millenium?
I have to give my husband sub q injections every day and I have been asking around how to dispose of the syringes. The only answer I have gotten is to collect them in a detergent bottle and throw them out in the regular trash.
I brought a red disposal unit from work home, when I needed to give my mom injections, and brought it back when it was full. Sometimes working in a small place helps...take advantage of it!
