Commode Chair
Have you ever .....?
I tripped over a commode this morning and I felt my already gammy foot 'click', from that moment (an hour to knocking off time) I was in agony. My ladies and gentlemen were brilliant, offering me their frames and sticks, which I took them up on until they needed them.
We have a gentleman in a self-propelling wheel chair and he was like a taxi. I'd grab hold of the handles and he would 'ferry' me from one end of the corridor to the other. If he was at the wrong end when I came out of a room, I'd shout, whistle and wave and he would come zooming up to help me to wherever I needed to be.
My question is, have you ever been bullied into hospital when you knew exactly what they'd say? My senior and the early shift senior insisted I went even though I told them I'd be told it wasn't broken and I just needed rest (yeah right) and painkillers.
The early senior even gave me twenty quid for the taxi to make sure I actually went. Nothing broken ... rest and painkillers.
Hi, i work as a senior in a care home and if one of the staff at my home hurts themself i would rather they get it checked out or atleast go home and rest it than for them to do themselves more damage. Wouldn't it be worse though if you actually wanted to get it checked out and they wouldn't let you leave?
Its just because they care and are doing their job properly. They have rules and regulations to follow and i hope you filled in your homes accident book.

pediatric shower chair/commode that can be delivered to London, W1H 5DN?
i'm going to london in august & i NEED a shower chair that can be used as a commode. i'm 4 ft 11 in & about 13 in wide. i live in the US & shipping 1 from here is insanely expensive. i've check a dozen sites in the UK & all of the chairs i saw were too big. if you do find one, do you know how shipping it to a hotel would work? please help.
