Children's Wheelchair Covers

I am going to be fitted for a wheelchair in the near future due to a mitochondrial dysfunction, help?

I was recently evaluated by a doctor at a children's hospital and he made it clear that I need a scooter wheelchair. Well I've done research and those look extremely bulky and embarrassing to be frank, especially as a teenager. I'm in a bit of a conundrum though because the weakness my body is dealing with is degenerating and its getting harder and harder standing up for long periods of time. While he wants me to start using out the scooter (I haven't gone to the wheelchair place yet, but will within the next month) part time, I want to use a wheelchair that I'm comfortable with and actually want to use without embarrassment but one, at the same time that is not obscenely expensive and is covered by insurance. Which led me to this question...could these http://www.frankmobility.com/efixworks.p… possibly be covered by insurance if prescribed by a physician?

It depends on the insurance. I work at a wheelchair company and have never seen one of those go through. We do however, do the E Motion wheels all the time. So, that might be something to look into too.

edit: E Motion IS enough for significant arm weakness. My company puts people with cp and cervical spinal cord damage in them. If you don't know how they work, then don't talk. They now have 10 settings that you can set yourself. For my old ones, I barely even move my wrists and the chair moves. So, if you haven't tried them, you have NO reason to comment on them.
