I was wondering; How did Steven Hawking get paralized and how much did his wheel chair/computer cost? I remember reading that the government payed for his wheelchair.
Stephen Hawking is severely disabled by motor neuron disease, likely a variant of the disease known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (or ALS).
The diagnosis of motor neuron disease came when Hawking was 21, shortly before his first marriage, and doctors said he would not survive more than two or three years. Hawking gradually lost the use of his arms, legs, and voice, and as of 2009 was almost completely paralyzed.

if im in a wheelchair why is it hard for me to get in my chair in the morning?
That's a bit vague. If u mean it is physically tiring, then I'm not surprised. If u have to use ur arms to lift yourself into the chair then of course its hard. If u mean its awkward then i am also not surprised. Are u asking this cos it was previously easy? If so, do u have a new wheelchair? are u doing anything differently? Do u think there is some medical reason for ur difficulty? Or perhaps ur still getting used to ur chair if it is a recent thing. I'm afraid that's the best answer i can give on so little info.
