What is your opinion on those scooter buggies that the elderly and non-elderly ride on the footpaths?

Yeah. that makes sense.
My Darling Wife is classed as Disabled through Parkinsons, and when I take Her out it is always through her Manual Wheelchair.
Without going into any detail about the reaction of the "able bodied", I have to say that the most inconsiderate to Her are Motability Scooter users. There is a Pub in the Town where I live that has at least three of these potential death machines parked outside for more than a few hours. X Pints later- and I know this for a fact- a drunk jumps on one and careers along the pavement totally out of control.
Are you aware that you cannot get one of these free of charge from Social Services? Says it all really.
