How to tighten bicycle brake handles?
I'm using a GT Avalanche 3.0. My left brake handle is slightly loose and my bike sometimes produces squeaks when I cycle. Does anyone know how to fix it?
what type of brake levers are you using? is it the housing/mount that is loose. or is it the actual lever which is loose? if it is the housing/mount it can be tightened with a 5mm allen/hax key. if it is the actual lever it will develop an element of play through continous use. your brakes are most likely squealing because your brakes need to be "toed in" to toe in your brakes take tyre and tube off wheel, put wheel back on bike, and sligthly loosen brakes pads, put a small folded piece of paper at the front part of the pad and push back of pad on to your rim. then tighten brake back up. doing this should stop the squealing because the pad is getting more grip on the rim. when the pad is completely parallel with the rim it vibrates which causes the squealin to happen. best pads to use are soft compound pads beacause they grip a lot more.i hope this helps

How do i remove the e-brake handle?

i bought an aftermarket handle and want to replace the stock handle, but dont see how to remove it
why would you want to do that???but anyway you can remove the cable from the e-brake handle or dis connect it from the rear drum/caliper but automatic transmission you cant reduce speed using the engine(engine brake)so if you loose your brakes your out of luck...boom or throw it in park or reverse and say good bye to your transmission...be safe,peace
