How do I apply for a blue curb paint parking spot for my disabled dad in front of our house in Oakland, CA?
We live in Oakland, CA. My dad is disabled, but he does not drive. I have to take him along on a weekly basis to the hospital to see his doctor. Our neighbors keeps taking up both spots in front of my house. I have tried to talk to them many times regarding this and they insist on taking our spot because they don't want to park up the street. Both of my neighbors have over 5 cars each. We live on an incline hill so I have to park my car up the street on the top of the hill and push him on his wheel chair up to my car. How do I apply for one of these blue curb painted disabled parking spots in front of my house. We have a Disability Placard for my car. Can someone link me some information explaining the qualification and forms needed to get this process started? Thank you in advance if anyone can shed some light on this.
