pregnant again!?
hi
i already have a 5 yr old son and a 6 month old daughter,
i have just found out that i am 6weeks pregnant.
however i am still on maternity leave from having my daughter and i am due to go back in april,this is fine as i an sure i can go back on maternity leave wen i need to.
im just wanting to know when i should tell my employer?
i work as a support worker and my role involves moving and handling clients to and from chairs/beds/wheelchairs using a hoist,also some of the people i work with can lash out etc
and when i was pregnant with my daughter there were a lot of risk assesments done to ensure my safety and the safety of my unborn child!
do i inform work b4 i go back?
or wait untill i am back?
i am worried about there reaction 2 me taking more time off!

Congratulations! You should tell work straight away seeing as your job is so hands on, risk assesments do need to be made and it's best for you and your unborn baby.
By law they cannot sack you for being pregnant, these things happen and they'll just have to deal with it!!

I want to run a funraiser for medical equiptment needed for my daughter. how can i go about it?
My daughter Cassandra suffers from a rare condition known as Lissencephaly. ISP. Which basically mean she suffers from smooth brain, spastic quadriplegia, with gross motor function plus epilepsy, and is unable to walk or talk. She is also tube feed with a gastromony button. Children born with Lissencephaly dont usually live past the age of two, those who are lucky enough too. Never make it past their 22nd birthday, it is a terminal illness, and cost a lot of money with life saving equiptment and equiptment needed just in every day life to make it easier to manage, wheelchairs, hoist, standing frames, arm and leg wraps, afo's for straightening of the leg muscles, bath comode, high rise medical bed are just some of the equiptment needed. Any information you can give would be very much appreciated..
try getting a part time job that offers good health insurance. so many people are looking for hand outs around this time of year that you're better off waiting until after the holidays. you may even try to create your own piece of adaptive equipment and market it to the medical community
used equipment is also cheaper.
