How Do I Run My Mac Computer Off Battery Power?
I'm calibrating my MacBook's battery. One of the steps required to calibrate the battery says,
"Disconnect the power adapter while the computer still on and start running the computer off battery power."
I understand it, but I don't know how to do it. If you have a Mac and know about it, please show me the steps to run my computer off battery power. Thank you. : )
OFF BATTERY POWER. I don't need to run it ON battery power. I need to run it OFFFFFF battery power. OFF
While the laptop is running, you UNPLUG the power cord from the back of the laptop.
It is now running on battery power.

Why does my laptop have only 12 minutes of battery power at 100%?
I have an Acer laptop and it's really cheap, only $490.
The battery power is at 100% yet the maximum number of minutes you could go on is 12-15 min. Why is that?
NOW the laptop's battery goes dead whenever you turn it on with out the recharger. You can't even turn it on with out the laptop's battery going out.
Two answers....bad battery or cheap, low-quality battery. Call Acer (or go to their website) for advice. You can either replace the bad battery or replace the good (but cheap) battery with a better one.

I'm glad the storm was not intense but I did enjoy typhoons because it was exciting and suspensful. Of course I didn't have to worry about my house flying away and cleaning up after the storm.
Tip: Keep your freezer full, either with food or place ice to take up the space. When the power goes out your food will stay cooler longer.
Stock up on non-perishables, tanks and gallons of water from the rain or from your home, lots of candles, battery powered fan, radio, gas-powered stoves work when the power is out, and lots of mosquito repellent(Avon's Skin So Soft works extremely well).
I don't want to overload you with information especiall if you've already taken these precautions.
