U have manufacture's name & Model # so call the manufacture # which should be in the telephone book & get a representative on the phone r to r home asap. I know thier expensive & shouldn't have to go through all this! R look 4 the manual it'll have the number on it, afterall how old can it be? And

Are battery chargers supposed to get hot to the touch?
Mom's pronto wheelchair has been sitting unused for about a year. She wanted to get it charged up but the charger got very hot which worried me, I unplugged it. Are they normally hot ?
I ask this question here because no one answers on the other sites
No it should not get hot at all. You were wise to unplug it. Look for the manufactures name on the casing, look them up on the web and call or email. They may replace the charger at no or little cost or tell you where you can buy a new one. Don't use the one that you have.
