Basket Liner making a bike basket out of a bandana? What do you think?
I just bought a metal basket for my beach cruiser and i want to make a liner since i cant afford any....I read some pages about buying a yard of fabric and stuff, but i was just thinking i could buy like 4 bandanas and sew them in the shape, then tie the top over with ribbon? What do you think? or do you have any other cheap ideas for making a bike basket liner?
Bandanas would work I think but you could also just use an old pillow case cut to size or in the hobby/fabic stores you can buy scrap material in different sizes for like a buck. Good luck!

I have two large wicker baskets I use to keep my son's toys in. Now that he's pulling himself up he thinks it's the greatest thing in the world to dive headfirst into a basket full of toys,
But I'm worried the wicker is going to scratch him or he'll pull the ends off and fray it. Does anyone know a pattern for making a basket liner like the nice lined baskets you can buy at stores? the basket is round about two feet wide and a foot deep. thank you!
Leave it to Martha Stewart to have what you want. LOL The link has instructions with pictures, it's for a rectangular basket, bit you could easily adapt it to fit a different shape.
