My girlfriend is staying In Fairbanks for a few days after competing in the Wheelchair games in Ancorage. She needs to get from the airport to a hotel and the around town a few times.

Handicapped Travel Question?
I'm parapledgic in a wheelchair and considering applying for a job that may require some air travel. Since I do not drive how would I arrange transportation from airport and around my destination city? I've traveled by air twice and both times with someone that drove a rental. Does anyone have knowledge about this? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
Major airports are required to be ADA-compliant, and most major cities have ADA-compliant transit as well. Although I haven't experienced this first-hand, I believe the best approach would be to check in advance with the transit system and local cab companies at your destination and advise them of your situation.
