Accessible Wheelchair Vacations
Is it possible to have a wheelchair accessible vacation in Ireland??

If so where?

I was waiting to hear some answers. I feel bad for you not getting any. I'm going to the town of Antrim in July. and wondered about this because of a friend of mine's Sister. We would like to take her on some wee trips with us.

Best travel ideas ever?

So my family is debating on what to do and where to go this summer. We want to travel around July 4th when we all have vacation time maybe for about a week. We live a little south of Houston and want to head far away from there but still go where there is good shopping and lots of sight seeing. Its five adults on a modest budget. Oh and everything we do HAS to be wheelchair accessible.

Any suggestions or ideas will be very very helpful

Go somewhere that will provide you with great natural beauty and will fortify your physical and emotional health. Stay away from major cities and their commercial traps. Is shopping really such a great thing? Cheap souvenirs -- is that enough to satisfy you?

Along the Northern California and Oregon coasts there are spectacular places where you can see the redwoods and dramatic rocky coasts. There are many small towns that have great character and where you can buy everyday stuff, in addition to unusual regional crafts. Places like Eureka and Crescent City in California, Coos Bay in Oregon. If you need a city to fly into you might consider Oakland, Sacramento or Portland Oregon. Notice that I did not say San Francisco. If you flew there you would spend your entire week in and around that amazing city. Which would be very wonderful, but it would cost you plenty.
