Taking a baby to Disneyworld,Im nervous,any advice?

Im so nervous about taking our 5 month old to Disneyworld. We go every year with our 3 other older girls. Do we need to take a carseat for the transportation? Can we get the wheelchair access with a 5 month old and stroller? Is it super hot there in August? Can she ride most rides? What about taking formula and bottles in? Any easy tips? Can I take a cooler in with water to make her bottles? Any advice?? Would you fly or drive from Texas to Florida with 4 kids? Do we have to take the car seat? Thanks

If you rent a car, you can usually rent a carseat. You won't need a carseat for the airplane if you can carry the baby on your lap.

In some places they'll have you take the wheelchair/stroller ramp/access. Other rides, they won't. On the rides they don't, they do have stroller parking. But I recommend just renting a stroller at the front gate. They're typically better built than yours, will hold up better, and if it gets stolen you can get a replacement.

It can get warm in August. But they try to give you water-stops and indoor attractions with cooling. Just bring sunscreen, hats, and plenty of liquids.

She will be able to ride most rides. The only limitations are the 'rollercoasters'. The Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, etc. They'll have info if there's an age or size limitation. I recommend getting a tourist book. It helps the most.

Bring your own water if possible, the taste of the water in Disney World isn't that great in my opinion. Bring in her formula of course... hmm... easy tips.... not really. They have plenty of 'family' bathrooms, and areas where you can relax and feed her. Watch her schedule and plan around that a bit is my best suggestion.

Personally, I'd drive. Texas to Florida isn't that far, and it's a pain to fly. Not to mention, at 5 months old it's almost a given that once you get home, she'll get sick with something if you fly. It's not a great way to end a vacation. :/ Also, if you want to take a cooler, much easier if you drive it than try and fly it.

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Kentucky is served by five major interstate highways (I75, I71, I64, I65, I24), nine parkways, and three bypasses and spurs. The parkways were originally toll roads, but on November 22, 2006, Governor Ernie Fletcher ended the toll charges on the William H. Natcher Parkway and the Audubon Parkway, the last two parkways in Kentucky to charge tolls for access. The related toll booths have been demolished. Ending the tolls some seven months ahead of schedule was generally agreed to have been a positive economic development for transportation in Kentucky. In June 2007, a law went into effect raising the speed limit on rural portions of Kentucky Interstates from 65 to 70 miles per hour. Taking a 5 month old to Disney World in August,Any good tips?

Im so nervous about taking our 5 month old to Disneyworld. We go every year with our 3 other older girls. Do we need to take a carseat for the transportation? Can we get the wheelchair access with a 5 month old and stroller? Is it super hot there in August? Can she ride most rides? What about taking formula and bottles in? Any easy tips? Can I take a cooler in with water to make her bottles? Any advice?? Would you fly or drive from Texas to Florida with 4 kids? INcluding the baby?? Thanks

Interesting question. Most of the time this type of question is asked by a first time parent. It usually sets off a huge answer-argument about how old a kid should be before you take him/her to WDW. However, you already have 3 kids, and you have already been to WDW. You know everything you need to know about that subject.

So, on to the questions.
If you will have a car, take a car seat.
I don't think that a stroller qualifies you for the wheel chair access lines. There are thousands of strollers there on any given day.
It will be really hot in August.
A five month old will be pretty young for most of the rides. You can take the child on some of the boats(small world, jungle cruise) but that kind of stuff is about it. You will just have to relax, and switch off, and sit in the shade part of the time.
Taking bottles in is no problem.
Taking small coolers in is no problem.
Get a good stroller that will lay down and has good shade. It should also have a big basket to put your diaper and formula bags in.

I personally would rather drive 12 hours than fly 4, but that is just me. A four hour flight really takes about 8 from door to door.
